Mission: Growing greatness through building relationships and safe opportunities.

The Stephens County Advancement Academy, owned and operated by the Stephens County School System, is a great resource and alternative for many students who are at risk of dropping out of school, are falling behind academically, or have a history of behavioral or disciplinary problems.

Non-traditional, non-punitive education programs are also a voluntary option for students who may experience difficulty in the traditional school setting. These students may require more innovative, creative, and structured alternatives either in-person or online.

Vision: Growing Greatness In All Students.

Welcome Students and Families!

It is with great pleasure that I extend a warm welcome to each of you to Stephens County Advancement Academy! Whether you are a returning student or new to us, we are excited to embark on a journey of growth, learning, and achievement together.

Stephens County Advancement Academy stands out as a beacon of opportunity for students enrolled in alternative educational settings. Our alternative (punitive) education program offers a unique blend of self-paced classroom instruction and face-to-face courses focused on character development, problem solving and further developing social skills for students grades 6-12.

Our self-paced, Advancement Classroom is designed to meet the diverse needs of our students. It is geared toward students in grades 9-12, who prefer smaller class sizes, who do well with structure and who either have the goal of getting ahead or caught up. Students in this program are intrinsically motivated and are making strides toward graduation.

Our Virtual/Non-Traditional Student (NTS) program provides a quality education through a fully online program that is supported by a Stephens County teacher. This program serves students grades 6-12 who have an established need for a non-traditional education.

At Stephens County Advancement Academy, our mission is to empower students to excel academically and personally. We foster an environment where students can thrive through personalized learning plans, dedicated support from qualified educators, and a curriculum that encourages exploration and creativity.

We understand the importance of partnership between home and school in the success of our students. As families, you play a vital role in supporting and encouraging your student's educational journey. We value open communication and collaboration and look forward to working closely with each of you to ensure that your student reaches their full potential.

Once again, welcome to Stephens County Advancement Academy! We are thrilled to have you join our community and look forward to a successful and fulfilling academic year.

Warm regards,

Andrea Hutchins, Program Coordinator
