Accessibility Statement

We want everyone who visits the Stephens County School System website to feel welcome and find the experience rewarding.

What are we doing?

To help us make the Stephens County School System website a positive place for everyone, we've been using the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.0. These guidelines explain how to make web content more accessible for people with disabilities, and user-friendly for everyone.

The guidelines have three levels of accessibility (A, AA, and AAA). We’ve chosen Level AA as the target for the Stephens County School System website.

We also utilize the Accessibility Checker provided by our website company, Final Site to regularly check for any possible accessibility issues and have begun discussions with a company to provide contracted website accessibility compliance. (Contract pending).

How are we doing?

We've worked hard on the Stephens County School System website and believe we've achieved our goal of Level AA accessibility. We monitor the website regularly to maintain this, but it is possible that some information may be missed. If you do find any problems with accessibility, please let us know.

If you have difficulty communicating with us or understanding this information because you do not speak English or have a disability, please let us know. Contact Darla Harbin at (706) 886-9415. Free language assistance or other aids and services are available upon request.
