The Toccoa, GA Aerospace plant was recently recognized by the Toccoa - Stephens County Chamber of Commerce with the first annual "Partner in Education" award at the chambers annual award luncheon. In a letter read by George Sanders, the chambers education committee chairman, principal Tony Crunkleton of Stephens County Middle School said, "Eaton Corporation has far exceeded in expectations as a partner in education." He described how Eaton has assisted with funding for a piano lab, has helped with chorus programs, and how employees participating in mentoring helps students. He went on to say, "Eaton is strongly committed to the students at Stephens County Middle School and to the fine arts programs. Eaton is always willing to support and help in any way possible." Tim Fairchild, Toccoa's plant manager, also received letters from GA State Representative, Michael Harden and State Senator, Jim Butterworth along with a state flag which had flown of the GA State Capital in recognition of Eaton's commitment to community and education.
